Samsung UN55D6400 Absolutely Amazing! 
I have only had the television for 3 days now, but here are my initial impressions:

The picture is absolutely stunning. I upgraded from a 50' Samsung DLP that I'd had for about 7 years. I truly didn't realize what I was missing with the technology advancements of 1080P LCDs and LEDs over the last few years. My wife and I will be watching HDTV in either 1080i or 720p and look at each other and say this doesn't look like "normal" TV. We finally figured it out last night. The picture is so clear that television shows truly appear to us as if we're looking through a window into somebody's home or perhaps watching a live performance/sporting event. We can even start to decipher how "fake" some of the sets are that the producers are using on many of the sitcoms.

Watching a Blu-ray is almost like watching a video game. The frame rate and clarity are so much improved over previous generation sets that it really gives you a whole new movie-watching experience. Blu-rays might take some getting used to for me because they are so life-like that I tend to just stare in awe rather than paying attention to the movie.

Pros: Great picture quality out of the box, super slim bezel, SmartTV apps are good but somewhat limited.
Cons: It should have come with built-in WIFI.

I didn't buy Samsung's expensive LinkStick, instead got a Asus WL-330GE working as a wifi adapter(it's 4-in-1 router/repeater etc.) which is working out great for me: cheap, light weight, and can be powered by USB.

The picture is very clear and detailed. The flat screen is super thin and looks great mounted on our fireplace wall. I wondered whether there would be glare from our window on the screen. There is not any glare. I'm very pleased with my selection.

I am well pleased with the Samsung UN55D6400. It is the lower end of the 3D models, and I have not seen the more expensive ones in person, so I can't help on comparing 3D models.

I like to watch my friends trip out on the 3D. The images look like they come off of the screen and are right in front of you. It also looks like you could reach out & touch something.

I used the Super Saver free ground shipping. The shipper called & scheduled delivery.

Amazing picture quality especially with HD movies. Very good design considering the very thin bezel and extremely thin profile. The sound quality is good enough for watching regular TV programming.

The only thing i would like samsung to do a better job on is the included product user manual w/c is very short and is not written in very good english (some minor mistakes in grammar and sentence construction).

As always, extremely good customer service from amazon.com. TV arrived as promised through super saver shipping and I was able to avail of thier low price guarantee. Customer service is very quick in responding and resolving all my concerns regarding this order.




Samsung UN55D6400 Best Price, Amazing quality/Technology still nascent
I have this TV for over a week, I am like a bull in a china shop exploring the features of the TV

The TV HD quality is amazing, I have basic cable with only the basic HD channels, got this TV for accessing content via internet. I had to invest in a Linstick,the Samsung USB adaptor for net access, it is pretty much plug and play but my 802.11g router was not fast enough particularly for 3D channels, had to invest in 802.11n after which access to the SmartHub improved a lot. The apps available in the SmartHub are quite a bit but expect for the movie channels (Vudu, Netfix, Blockbuster, CinemaNow, Huluplus) rest of the content is still ordinary however emerging, with all the reviews I have read Samsung TV apps are ahead of other brands. I intend to use the TV primarily accessing high quality video and streaming content from the web and will not mind paying per view if the content is good, I hope Samsung continues to lead the pack with content
